Chief Electoral Officer (CEO)

The CEO acts as a liaison between the state’s district election officers and the Election Commission of India. At the district level, the CEO makes sure that the ECI’s rules and regulations are followed. He is in charge of managing the state’s electoral procedures, which include voter registration, election preparation, and Model Code of Conduct implementation. According to the law, the CEO makes sure that elections are held in a free, fair, and transparent way. The CEO lacks the authority to decide on election-related issues in the end.
