After Kuno National Park, it will be the second home for cheetahs in India. The sanctuary is divided into two nearly equal parts by the Chambal River, and it is situated on a level rocky plateau. Within the sanctuary’s boundaries is the Gandhi Sagar Dam, which was built on the river in 1960. The main tree species include Tendu, Dhawda, Salai, and Khair. This area is also home to spotted deer, Indian leopards, jackals, hyenas, chinkara, and nilgai.
