It is indigenous Automatic Train Protection system developed by the Indian Railways to enhance safety and prevent train collisions.

RFID tags are placed on railway tracks at specific intervals. Onboard sensors and radio systems constantly track train location and speed. The system compares this data with signals and track conditions. If danger is detected, automatic braking is triggered.

It prevents head-on collisions and rear-end collisions between trains. Applies brakes automatically if the driver fails to do in time. It also prevents a train from passing a red signal. It auto-blows horn while approaching level crossings in foggy conditions.

Challenges:
1.High cost of large-scale deployment
2.Technical training of staff
3.Integration with existing and diverse signalling systems.
