Significance:
Strengthened the legal and moral framework for resolving territorial, political and maritime disputes. Became a key reference in later dispute settlements, including South China Sea conflicts.

India has consistently advocated for peaceful resolution of international disputes. India follows a policy of non-alignment and peaceful co-existence, aligning with the principles of the Manila Declaration. India’s approach in case like the Kulbhushan Jadhav case and Indus Waters Treaty reflects commitment to international dispute resolution frameworks.
