    1. The age limit for UPSC is 21 to 32 years.
    2. Age relaxation depends on the category you belong to.

Exam Pattern of UPSC CSE

UPSC has two exams: prelims and Mains. The patterns of both are completely different. If you clear prelims then only you can attempt the Main exam. By knowing the pattern you can concentrate more on the topics that help you to score high.

 

 

UPSC CSE Prelims exam pattern : 

  1. The preliminary exam for IAS has two papers – General Studies and CSAT (civil service aptitude test).
  2. Both tests are Multiple Choice Questions.
  3. You will have two hours to complete the paper.
  4. CSAT is a Qualifying paper where you need to score a minimum of 33% of the paper to qualify.
  5. Both the papers in the preliminary exam consist of 200 marks each.
  6. The test is conducted in both Hindi and English but the questions related to English Skills are only in English.
  7. For blind students, the test is 20 minutes more than the regular students.
