World Intellectual Property Day-2023

What is World Intellectual Property Day?

Every April 26th, the world intellectual property day (IP) is observed. This day is observed to promote awareness about the importance of patents, copyright trademarks, and design in our daily lives.

The goal of World Intellectual Property Day is to increase awareness about the many methods of intellectual property protection and their value. The concept for this day was initially discussed in September 1988 at the WIPO Member States’ 33rd Assembly Session. On August 9, 1999, World Intellectual Property Day was formally created.
