Astra Missile

An sophisticated air-to-air missile with a range beyond visual range that is intended for fighter aircraft. It allows planes to interact with targets farther than 100 kilometers away without making eye contact. BDL manufactures it, and DRDO developed it. It has active radar homing for accurate hits, mid-course upgrades, and inertial navigation. It can reach Mach 4.5. It is now being combined with MiG-29 and LCA Tejas.
