Yemen, which has been in the headlines a lot lately because of persistent conflicts, humanitarian crises, and political instability, is home to both cities. One of the world’s oldest cities still inhabited is Sana’s, the capital of Yemen. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is well-known for its old mud-brick structures. It is been governed by the Houthi rebels since 2014. The city of Sa’dah is situated close to the Saudi Arabian border in northern Yemen. The Houthi movement, which has been a part of Yemen’s ongoing civil conflict, is thought to have its stronghold there.
