What are the common interview questions asked in the UPSC personality test?

The UPSC personality test, also known as the interview, aims to assess the candidate’s personality traits, communication skills, analytical abilities, and overall suitability for administrative positions. The questions asked in the interview can vary based on the candidate’s background, achievements, and the board conducting the interview.
However, some common areas of questioning include the candidate’s background, academic interests, current affairs, general knowledge, ethical dilemmas, administrative challenges, and situational analysis. Candidates should be well-prepared with their Detailed Application Form (DAF) and should have a thorough understanding of their
academic and optional subjects, current affairs, and their own strengths and weaknesses. Practising mock interviews, staying updated with recent developments and being able to express opinions confidently and logically can help in performing well in the interview
